2018 Spring FREE Shred Event

On May 19, 2018, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation hosted a FREE Community Shred event at the Camarillo Target parking lot.  Foundation and VCSO worked side by side to assist the community on protecting their identity by shredding sensitive documents.  We thank Western Bagel and Sharky’s for providing food for our volunteers.

-Identity Theft affects nearly 15 million persons a year and is the fastest growing crime. The approximate loss for each person is $3,500, with over $50 billion in damages.

-Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation is seeking the public’s participation in shredding their documents as a way of protecting their identification.
-The Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation, is a non-profit 501 whose mission is to build community partnerships to enhance public safety in Ventura County with the support of individuals, families and businesses.
