Academy Class Graduation 2015-2
On Friday, April 8, 2016, Class 2015-2 graduated from the Academy. The recruits completed 24 weeks of instruction provided through the combined efforts of local law enforcement agencies, the Ventura County Community College District and other criminal justice entities. The graduating class is comprised of Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies along with officers from other local law enforcement agencies. The intense training and education prepared these recruits for the responsibilities of serving their communities as peace officers.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office awards an outstanding recruit of each academy class. The award is determined on a recruit’s overall performance throughout the 24 weeks of the Academy program in the areas of personal traits, academics, marksmanship, scenario performance and physical fitness. The award is sponsored by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation. The Sheriff’s Foundation Chairman, Doug Platts presented this outstanding recruit award to Officer Eric Davis who will be serving with Santa Barbara Police Department.
