2019 Farm to Table Gourmet Event

Our annual fundraiser was held on July 13th and themed, Farm to Table Gourmet Event.  Guests were treated to the delicacies of the county prepared by Plated Events.  The Department “toys” were there along with a silent and live auction.  Thank you to all who attended and thank you Judi Bumstead for capturing our day!

Mastro’s Back the Badge Kick Off Party

In a special collaboration between Mastro’s Restaurants in Thousand Oaks and the Sheriff’s foundation in honor of our Sgt. Helus, Mastro’s sold over 100 Back the Badge pre-fix dinners on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. The special menu will be available until August 31, 2019.

2019 Spring FREE Shred Event

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation is proud to have provided free shredding of sensitive documents for our community. Over 30,000 pounds of resident documents were safely eliminated against identity theft. We thank our volunteers and VCSO Explorers for a smooth morning.

2019-2 Outstanding Academy Recruit Recipient

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Foundation, The Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Fund, The Oaks Mall, and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office hosted a FREE Community Shred Event to Protect your Identity. Explorer Academy Graduation: July 2016

The Explorer Academy Class of 2016 was comprised of 9 local law enforcement agencies.  39 Explorer recruits graduated and of those, two worked at their respective jobs while attending the academy.  Class Sergeant was 14 year old Cole Conley.  The Sheriff’s Foundation is excited to welcome these new Explorers to Ventura County.

Salute to the Stars Gala Fundraiser: April 30, 2016

Shred-It Event: May 21, 2016

VCSF held their inaugural Shred Event Sat. 5/21 from 8 – noon. Developed as a post-tax season service to the community, the FREE event saw 275 cars drive through, filling 623 total containers (with receipts, business docs, legal forms, etc.), for a total of 14 tons of paper recycled. Along with VCSF, this event was made possible through the support of Camarillo Target, Workrite Uniform Co., Rabobank, and Slaughter, Reagan & Cole LLP.

The 5th Annual Dining with the Dogs took place at California State University Channel Island’s on Saturday, May 2. The day benefitted the Ventura County Sheriff’s K9 Unit and the Ventura County Sheriff’s K9 Search and Rescue teams. Guests were treated to demonstrations throughout the day, endless photo opportunities and a chance to meet the handlers and the dogs.
